      @marshallk That’s consistent with the observed linkage of self-identified ‘conservatism’ — religious, political, cultural, (economic, though I don’t believe I’ve seen as much recent research surface in general media) with more dogmatism in attitude, perception, behavior (cognition…).

    @marshallk That’s visibly a phenomenon of the Right at the moment in the U.S. - and also within the EU (Hungary), Latin America (Bolsonaro), Asia (Duterte, etc.)

      @marshallk The alignment of rightist = conservative = dogmatic (= two-dimensional in my casual categorization) is typical, and strongly on trend for ~the past 40 years in the English-speaking world - but it’s definitely not exclusive in history.
